Privacy Policy

Effective: June 2026

This policy explains what Debator collects and how it's used. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. What we collect

If you sign in: your email address and your saved match history (topics, chosen models, verdicts, and usage/cost metadata). If you don't sign in, debates run without an account and aren't saved to a profile.

2. Topics & third parties

The topics you submit are sent to the AI providers that generate the debate (e.g. OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter) and, for Deep Debate, a web-search provider (Brave). Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: an authentication cookie (if you sign in) and a small cookie that remembers your language choice. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Usage data

We log per-request usage and cost metadata (tokens, cost, timing, and a coarse IP-based counter) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and enforce spending limits.

5. Retention & deletion

Saved matches stay until you delete them or your account. You can request deletion of your account and data via the contact details on the site.

6. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or KVKK.

7. Changes & contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here. Questions? Use the contact details on the site.

This is a plain-language starting template, not legal advice โ€” have a professional review it before a public launch.
